Didn't Ginger do well. It is her singing I remember all these years later!

They never ever kissed in their movies. Fred's wife objected. She was always on the set making sure Fred & Ginger didn't become intimate. According to Ginger's autobiography she said one kiss was played in slow motion and it only looked like Fred kissed Ginger when it was just a close-up.
